A Class 117 led by 51349, set number L413, is seen passing Washwood Heath on 22.02.1988 after overhaul and repainting into Network South East livery at Doncaster. A Class 114 is on the rear. Andy Cole.

On 14 May 1988 it was quite easy to walk around the slightly derelict-looking Washwood Heath area and take pictures of anything that came along. One of the bagful of slides I shot during the morning was this of a class 114 DMU as it worked ECS from Tyseley and about to pass Washwood Heath No5 signalbox. Peter Tandy.

Class 101 set 101 688 with DMBS 51431 closest (and 51501) is seen passing Washwood Heath heading towards Nottingham on 22.02.1993. This had been refurbished and repainted into Strathclyde PTE livery but was released to Tyseley for a short time before moving north, when it would receive it's Strathclyde Transport branding.
